Ginger Conlon, an award-winning editorial leader and content marketer, currently serves as director of customer stories at Genesys, a global provider of AI-powered experience orchestration technologies. Previously, she served as thought leadership director at Genesys and co-host of its Tech Talks in 20 podcast and CX Green Room livestream show.
CX Magazine selected Ginger as the #1 CX influencer of 2023 as part of its CXMStars awards, as well as inviting her to serve on its inaugural advisory board. The publication also cited her as a top 10 contributor for 2022 and 2023 and included two of her articles in its “Top 10 Articles on Thoughtful CX Leadership” list.
Prior to Genesys, Ginger served in various editorial roles, including editor-in-chief of MediaVillage, U.S. editor of The Drum, and chief editor of MKTGinsight (which she also founded). Additionally she led editorial strategy and day-to-day editorial operations as chief editor of Direct Marketing News, 1to1, and CRM magazines.
She was honored with a Silver Apple lifetime achievement award for her contributions to the marketing industry, and was cited as one of the “Top 100 Most Social Customer Service Pros on Twitter” and one of the “Top 25 CRM Influencers You Should Be Following.”
Ginger has contributed to several business books, including Capitalizing on the Voice of the Customer, CyberSelling, and CRM at the Speed of Light. She has worked as a business book editor for such authors as Lior Arussy and Jay Conrad Levinson.
Ginger served as an advisor on the Environmental Defense Fund’s Digital Advisory Council and the Marketing Advisory Board for Baruch University’s Allen G. Aaronson Department of Marketing and International Business. She is a past president of the Marketing Club of New York and was a founding board member of the Customer Experience Professionals Association.
Ginger holds a BA in advertising from Penn State. A lifelong learner, she has earned certifications in customer experience and as a fitness trainer, health coach, and goal/transformation life coach.
